Change bodies without losing the cycle.
If your certificate is valid with another body, you can transfer it to G-CERTI without restarting the cycle. We review the document, the scope, the stage and any open findings.
Transfer is not a new certification and does not by itself extend the scope
Five details from your current certificate.
The current document and the latest audit reports are enough to know whether the case can proceed.
Four steps, with the cycle intact.
The cycle continues from where it was.
- 01Request with the certificate at handThe current certificate and the latest audit reports are submitted.PUT IN WRITINGReceipt with reference and date.
- 02Transfer reviewScope, cycle, findings and history are assessed.PUT IN WRITINGThe review result, in writing.
- 03The applicable auditDepending on the stage of the cycle: a transfer audit or the scheduled surveillance.PUT IN WRITINGAudit report with classified findings.
- 04Issue with cycle continuityWith the independent decision, the certificate is issued and the current cycle is preserved.PUT IN WRITINGCertificate with a public code.
Transfer is resolved case by case. Neither the request nor the review anticipates the outcome.
Surveillance and renewal are coordinated by your account executive.
Every certified organization has an assigned executive who works in its language and knows its file: cycle audits are scheduled with them, organizational changes are reported to them and any question about the certificate is resolved with them. Nothing needs to be managed through the website.

- Cycle auditsSurveillance and renewal dates, agreed within the cycle windows.
- Changes in the organizationLegal name, sites, activities, headcount: reported before the next audit.
- Extend the scope or add a standardAssessed as a case in its own right, with its proposal issued in writing.
Validity, scope and continuity.
Does transfer restart the three-year cycle?
Not when it should be preserved: transfer continues the current cycle, and the next audit is the one the cycle already scheduled. The stage is confirmed when reviewing the certificate and its reports.
What if the certificate has expired?
An expired certificate is not transferred. The case is assessed as an initial certification, with the already implemented system as the starting point.
Request a proposalCan only part of the scope be transferred?
A scope smaller than the current certificate's can be assessed. Anything not previously certified is not added by transfer: that is assessed as an extension.
What documents are needed at the start?
The current certificate and the latest audit reports, including findings and their treatment. That determines the stage of the cycle and the applicable audit.
How long does the review take?
The request is answered within 48 business hours with the review result or with what is missing to complete it. Audit timelines are set in the proposal.
Does the previous certificate remain valid during the process?
Until the new document is issued, the valid certificate is the one from the body that issued it. The status of a G-CERTI certificate is always checked by its code.
Verify certificateStart with the certificate you already have.
The current document and the stage of the cycle are enough to know what applies. The request reaches the certification team with the transfer context and returns a receipt with a reference.
